Will the parade be on TV?

  • Yes, the parade will be broadcast regionally on WBTV, CBS on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

Can I buy a ticket for reserved seating?

How many years has there been a Thanksgiving Day parade in Charlotte?

  • The parade dates back to the 1940's. The 2020 parade will be the 74th year.

Where can I park?

  • Ample parking is available around Center City with differing prices. Click here for more information.

Is there designated handicapped seating?

  • There is no designated handicapped seating along the parade route. We recommend arriving around 7 a.m. to secure a prime spot up front on the sidewalk or along a street opening.

I'd like to participate in the Parade, can I still register?

What is the parade route?

What time does the event start?

  • The parade begins at 9:00 a.m. on November 26, 2020, and lasts approximately 2 hours.

What time does the parade end?

  • The parade will end between 11:30am and noon.

Does my child need a ticket?

  • Children under 2 years old do not need a ticket to enter.

Can I bring my dog to the parade?

  • We suggest that you do not brings dogs to the parade due to the amount of people in attendance, loud noises made by the vehicles and the marching bands.

Are there restrooms on site?

  • Yes, there will be temporary restrooms along the parade route.

Are there vendors at the parade? How do I become a vendor?
